Supervision – Before and After School
Student safety at Clarinda PS is our highest priority and the safe and appropriate supervision of students is an important element of our duty of care to students. Part of this duty is ensuring parents and students are aware of our student supervision arrangements before and after school.
Before school: School grounds are supervised 10 minutes prior to the 8:50am bell.
After school: School grounds are supervised 10 minutes after the 3:30pm bell.
8:50am First Bell – students line up and teachers collect the students.
Prep-2 Reading & 3-6 Mindfulness
9:00am School Day begins
10:40am Recess
11:00am Students line up and teachers collect the students for classes
12:40pm Lunch eating time
12:50pm Students outside for play
1:50pm Students line up and teachers collect the students for classes
3:30pm End of school day and students dismissed
3:37pm Final bell – students still in the school will be taken to the school office and parents notified
Students on school grounds outside these times will not be supervised (unless they are attending a before or after school care program or supervised extracurricular activity).
Parents/carers are requested to ensure that students do not attend school outside of these supervised times unless they are attending before or after school care, or a pre-arranged supervised activity (i.e. sports practice).
